Amanda & Marcus

This summer wedding's bride and groom met through the peculiar hobby of historical reenactment, more specifically Viking Age reenactment. Since the hobby has become such an essential part of their lives, and the same can be said about their closest friends, Amanda & Marcus decided to throw a legendary Viking wedding.

Historically accurate from beginning to end, the one week long celebration (that's how the Vikings did it) took place in Årsunda Vikingagård, a jaw-droppingly beautiful reconstructed viking village not far from Gävle, Sweden. I was there for three days, capturing all the Viking Age activities as well as the beautiful ceremony and festivities of the wedding day.
